Leadership change at Green Mountain

Svein Atle Hagaseth joins the executive leadership of Green Mountain Global.

Green Mountain says that Halvor Bjerke will assume the role of Managing Director for Green Mountain in the Nordics, effective April 2025. He succeeds Svein Atle Hagaseth, who will transition into the role of Executive VP and Global Chief Business Officer of Green Mountain Global, the London-based holding company.

“I hand over the baton to Halvor Bjerke with great confidence. With his solid background and industry experience, he is well-equipped to lead Green Mountain through the growth phase ahead,” says Svein Atle Hagaseth.

Bjerke joins Green Mountain from his position as Nordic Managing Director at Stack Infrastructure, a significant player in the global data center market. Prior to that, he served as Chief Operating Officer at the Norwegian data center operator DigiPlex, which was acquired and integrated into Stack Infrastructure in 2021.

With extensive experience in both operational data center management and business leadership, Bjerke will play a key role in further strengthening Green Mountain’s position in the Nordic market. Since last year, he has also served as Chairman of the Board at The Norwegian Data Center Industry Association, giving him a strong industry network.

"I have long admired Green Mountain and hold the company in high regard. Having both competed and collaborated with them over the years, I am well aware of the strong culture and deep expertise that defines the organization. People are the key to success, and I am excited to join this talented team. Together, we will continue to elevate Green Mountain as an industry leader while delivering some of the world’s most sustainable data center solutions," says Halvor Bjerke.

Focus on Global Growth

Hagaseth now joins the executive leadership team of Green Mountain Global, the holding Company of Green Mountain, where he will act as the EVP Global Chief Business Officer, and will focus on global growth, strategic partnerships and commercial activity.

“Data centers are a critical part of the digital infrastructure that our modern society depends on. With the rapid growth of AI, cloud services, and high-performance computing, the demand for data capacity will increase significantly. My new role allows me to ensure that Green Mountain Global takes a leading position in this development – benefiting our customers, the environment, our employees, and the local communities we operate in. I thank the board for their trust and look forward to continuing the journey with Green Mountain Global going forward,” says Hagaseth.
