Trade Association for Data Centres in the UK announces new Executive and Advisory Board Structure

The DCA is delighted to announce the formation of a New Executive Board to provide both strategic guidance and oversight.

Amanda McFarlane DCA Communications Director stated, “The selection process was vital to ensure that as the UK representative body for the data centre sector, The DCA continues to maintain its long-standing independence and vendor neutrality; and those appointed to the New Executive Board understand and continue to reflect these fundamental principles”. Those newly appointed to The DCA Executive Board include: Mark Acton , Venessa Moffat , Mike Meyer and Navid Mehr.

The New Advisory Board will comprise of subject matter experts from across The DCA membership community. Steve Hone DCA CEO said “It is imperative that every member feels they are in a position to help shape the future of our sector. The restructuring of the Advisory Board is designed to ensure that every single DCA Member, has the opportunity to have a voice and for that voice to be heard”.

All existing DCA Partners / Members organisations are invited to nominate a representative to join The DCA Advisory Board, based on a two-year rotation. Steve went on to say “The whole digital ecosystem continues to evolve rapidly, creating both business growth opportunities and challenges along the way. The industry and subject matter experts who sit on The DCA Advisory Board will be tasked with identifying these challenges and working with The DCA on initiatives to tackle them head on – all for the benefit of the DC sector”.

The DCA continues to represent the voice of the data centre sector in the UK and is evolving to support its growth by introducing this structure, by implementing a new members portal, and by its ongoing involvement with, and contribution to, strategic initiatives.
