Workspace 365 appoints new chief product officer

Plan to further develop its simplified digital workplace.

Digital workplace platform, Workspace 365, has appointed Wesley de Graaf as chief product officer to drive forward growth in its all-in-one, simplified solution.

The Netherlands-based business, which employs 60 people and has its UK offices in Manchester, provides companies with a digital workplace to simplify the ever-complex world of IT solutions.

An all-in-one, adaptive digital workplace, Workspace 365 provides personalised access to all applications, company information and personal documents on any device. Based on user-experience (UX) research, the latest version of Workspace 365 launched in November 2023 to offer even more simplified access, communication, and workflows.

Wesley began his career at Workspace 365 in 2014 as a technical support intern and over the past decade has risen through the ranks in various product-focussed roles into a senior position.

Most recently, he served as head of product for the business, overseeing a team of 27 specialists who continuously develops Workspace 365’s platform based on user feedback and market trends.

In his new role as chief product officer, Wesley will continue to spearhead the company’s product offering, assuming overall responsibility for the team he helped to build. The new role is de Graaf’s first C-suite position, representing a significant career milestone.

Commenting on his appointment, Wesley said: “The goal of Workspace 365 is to simplify how people interact with their digital workplace, enabling better focus and encouraging more positive employee experiences.

“After almost a decade at Workspace 365, I’ve seen immense changes in the way businesses use and embrace IT solutions. We now live in a hybrid working world, so it’s more important than ever that our digital lives are as intuitive and productive as they can be. With overall responsibility for the Workspace 365 product offering, that’s my main aim.

“I always say: ‘If opportunity doesn’t knock, then build your own door.’ It’s my professional mantra, and I’d like to thank the Workspace 365 team for enabling me to grab this new opportunity with both hands.”

In the next 12 months, Wesley will help to deliver an updated ecosystem for Workspace 365’s current and prospective end-users, with numerous product updates planned in the coming year, including advancements in AI and machine-learning.

Erik Nicolai, chief executive officer of Workspace 365, added: “With continual improvements, Workspace 365 aims to fully unlock the digital work focus for employees, empowering them to work more productively and efficiently.

“I’d like to pass on my huge congratulations to Wesley, who is an integral part of the Workspace 365 team. It’s been a pleasure to see his career flourish from intern to our c-suite. The depth knowledge of our product that he brings really shines through and is reflected in the passion he instils in his team.”
