Fast-growing European data centre operator maincubes has entered a new partnership with Epsilon to deploy Infiny by Epsilon at its data centres in Frankfurt and Amsterdam.

The partnership enables maincubes to harness Epsilon’s software-defined networking (SDN) platform to directly access its global network fabric. It can now deliver secure, on-demand connections to world-leading cloud service providers, internet exchanges and interconnected data centres, as well as a network of service providers.

“Cloud and interconnection demands are driving new growth in the data centre market. Our partnership with maincubes will enable more European businesses to accelerate their hybrid cloud strategy by combining secure, highly available data centres with a suite of global connectivity solutions,” said Lee Myall, Chief Commercial Officer at Epsilon. “Infiny will bring more connectivity options and add value for maincubes’ customers as we continue to grow our interconnect ecosystem.”

Infiny gives maincubes the ability to deliver automated, on-demand connectivity with flexible and scalable bandwidth options to its European customer base. Under the brand secureexchange®, maincubes’ customers can deploy dedicated, private connections to the cloud and interconnect with over 220 data centres globally from its Frankfurt and Amsterdam facilities. maincubes has invested considerably in the IT installation of the platform, thus a redundant connection and 99.9% availability can be guaranteed.

According to Structure Research, the global data centre colocation and interconnection (DCI) market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 10% between 2019 and 2024.

“Epsilon enables us to support more of our customers’ interconnection needs as they grow, transform and deploy new software and services. The addition of SDN to our portfolio means that customers can easily access data centre and networking solutions from a single provider,” said Oliver Menzel, CEO at maincubes. “We chose Infiny by Epsilon for its intuitive platform, but also the company’s proven expertise in networking. They make it easy to procure, deploy and manage global connectivity without adding complexity to our operations.”
