Hyve, a leading managed services provider (MSP), has announced that, following a year of global expansion, it is now able to offer customers enterprise and private cloud as well as dedicated servers in New York. Acting in response to market demand for global IT hosting services and support, New York tops the list of locations opened by Hyve in 2019, which includes Miami, Boston, Los Angeles, Madrid, Zurich, Geneva, Milan, Bogota, and Tokyo. The firm now supports customers across five continents, with each location chosen in partnership with customers who want to benefit from the same high-quality IT services delivery and support they receive from Hyve in the UK across their international operations.
The appeal of managed IT hosting has grown as companies look to lower technology operating costs, increase security and take advantage of the performance and scale benefits of cloud computing. Consequently, the global managed services market has grown dramatically in the past two years – from $155.91 billion in 2017 to $193 billion in 2019.
Hyve hosts core IT applications for customers at its data centres, either on dedicated servers, private cloud or enterprise cloud environments, and provide associated managed services including cyber security protection and disaster recovery. Each data centre is connected to National Internet backbones with multiple 100Gb uplinks so customers can host demanding applications such as video streaming. Customers rely on Hyve to host and deliver core IT services so that their own IT teams can focus on developing new technology-driven services to move their businesses forward.
Hyve’s global network means its international customers can now host their IT services wherever their end-users are in the world and abide by local regulations on data storage. Livesource, which helps some of the world’s leading manufacturers eliminate hidden risks in their supply chains, is using Hyve sites in New York, Miami, Geneva and Zurich to enable it to deliver services to its customers. Award winning online gaming company, Mr Green, is using Hyve’s London and Madrid sites to ensure it is compliant with local data regulations.
A critical differentiator for Hyve is its ability to offer a personal service, no tiered support and small teams that work with its customers one-to-one, rather than multiple tiers of support with anonymous engineers. “We’re in a great place both in terms of market demand for the service we offer as well as our position in the market,” explained Hyve Co-Founder, Jon Lucas. “Our global IT services platform might be built on cutting edge technology but, in a world that is fast moving towards AI and robotics, we are proud to say we’re avoiding that route when it comes to customer service. Each customer relationship is built around engineers they know by name and who understand their business and technology estate, it’s a significant reason why our customers want to work with Hyve, wherever they are in the world.”
Hyve’s customers include Safestore, Carluccio’s, Pure Gym, Caffè Nero, Dog’s Trust, and Teenage Cancer Trust. Customer, Jean-François Blachon, CTO at LiveSource commented: “Hyve provides LiveSource with a high-performance hosting platform in multiple global locations. It is great to partner with a host who provides a reliable service and can manage all of our locations for us. Working with one provider takes the stress out of managing multiple locations, and we know that we will always get fast and responsive service from the support team at Hyve.”
