The agreement entails the delivery of IT solutions with implementation and maintenance for a period of 6 + 4 years.
The procurement is part of the implementation of the Government’s strategy for a comprehensive ICT solution for the Prime Minister’s office, the Ministries and the Norwegian Government Security and Service Organization. Today, the Ministries have different systems. Through the partnership with Tieto, all Ministries will implement Public 360° as their new case and archive solution.
The Ministries selected Public 360° for a number of reasons, including the system’s user-friendliness, its ability to support universal design and its robust security. Tieto’s partnership with the Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted was also a key factor.
“Tieto already delivers Public 360° to clients with high security requirements. These customers challenge us as a supplier and ensure that we are at the forefront,” says Daniel Thafvelin, customer and sales director 360° at Tieto.
Public 360° offers a high degree of automatization and flexibility. This allows for more efficient management and more time spent on important tasks. In the future, the use of the same system will make it possible to efficiently change and innovate the case processing procedure for everyone in the Ministries.
The solution has a large Nordic customer base. Tieto supports collaboration by transferring ideas and solutions across Nordic borders. Tieto is the only supplier in the field which delivers case and archive systems to public clients in all the Nordic countries. Other examples are the Government Offices in Sweden, the Danish Parliament and the Finnish Government.
“We are very excited to support Norway’s continued ICT modernisation. Tieto is looking forward to assisting the Norwegian Ministries to free up time and resources for business management and strategic work. In the long run, it will provide the foundation of the future welfare state – better welfare with fewer resources,” says Thafvelin.
