Jupiter Group will be leveraging the M-Files Intelligent Information Management Solution to eliminate paper, streamline processes and improve collaboration across its global locations.

Established in 2003, Jupiter Group is a grower, importer, exporter, packer and processor of fruits from all over the world. Its headquarters in Shropshire are home to over 100 members of staff and there are further operations worldwide in locations such as South Africa, Chile, India, Argentina and Central Europe. Jupiter Group is seeing great success and going through a period of rapid growth, with 127.5% average international sales growth over the past two years and ranking highly in the Sunday Times International Track 200 for 2018.

The company was facing a number of challenges relating to the way it managed documents and information across the group. Each department and office were using different systems and processes for managing the flow of information, resulting in information silos, disjointed and inefficient processes and a lack of collaboration across the organisation. There was also a heavy reliance on paper, and physical signatures were required for document approval.

"We were introduced to M-Files by our Managed Services Provider EBC Group, as a better way to manage documents that would allow us to go paper-free and improve the way we share information globally," said Mark Tweddle, Managing Director of Jupiter Group. "Our goal is to become the number one IT company in fresh produce and M-Files will be essential to us achieving this goal."

Access to information, from the office to the field

In addition to removing paper from the organisation, and streamlining and automating document-centric processes, M-Files is transforming the way Jupiter's employees can access and share information by enabling access anywhere, anytime, from any device.

"Many of our staff travel frequently, or literally work from the middle of a field," said Tweddle. "M-Files has a mobile app which allows our staff to work more efficiently as they can access information, complete tasks and approve documents without having to wait until they are back in the office. It also helps them collaborate better with colleagues in other departments or countries."

"Jupiter Group is a fast-paced organisation going through a key transformation to becoming a digital workplace and it's fantastic to be part of this journey," said Tim Waterton, Director of UK Business at M-Files. "With the continued support of EBC Group, Jupiter has exciting plans to use M-Files as the link between all its business applications and systems, and to become the central pool of all information for the business," concluded Waterton.
