MPL Technology Group enters new phase of growth
MPL, a leader in the provision and installation of DCIM
software & intelligent hardware to mission critical facilities, has appointed David Lee as Managing Director.
Founded in 2004, MPL Technology Group is a world-class company providing real-time environmental monitoring solutions for data centres and critical facilities. The true vendor neutrality of the MPL solution has led to it being chosen by some of the world’s leading companies including global financial institutions and large enterprise. Globally, the company has installed in excess of 50,000 devices and aims to double this over the next 18 months.
Phil Maidment, Founder and CEO comments, ‘Over the past 12 months we have witnessed significant uptake in our software based solution, much of it driven by the need for a truly vendor neutral option. The appointment of David as Managing Director is the first step in MPL’s growth strategy and we are delighted to welcome him on board. His experience and expertise in this industry are unparalleled and we have no doubt that he will play a major role in the overall growth of the company’.
MPL’s solutions fall under the DCIM heading.According to IDC, ‘DCIM, when implemented well & supported across the enterprise, can be a critical step in the delivery of data centres resources ‘as a service’ to clients’. However, many data centre managers have found that implementation of a solution can be costly and not always suitable within the existing facility environment.Vendor neutrality and the ability of the chosen solution to integrate and interact with existing hardware and other management tools, is crucial to the success of an implementation, and this is where MPL has a distinct competitive advantage.
According to Phil Maidment, ‘ The ability of the MPL software to interact with existing infrastructure leads directly to increased efficiencies, cost savings and better overall management without costly upgrades. MPL is in an excellent position to take advantage of the global move towards decreasing complexity in infrastructure monitoring and management and we look forward to significantly increasing our market share in this space’.
