Informatica appoints new CIO to senior leadership team

Industry veteran brings over 20 years of senior management experience focused on powering business growth with data.

Informatica says that Graeme Thompson has joined Informatica as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO), reporting to Doug Barnett, executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). Thompson comes to Informatica from Oracle Corporation where he was vice president, global it end user services.
 
Thompson joins Informatica as an accomplished and innovative IT professional with more than two decades of experience in senior IT and supply chain positions. He will be responsible for fostering a world-class IT organisation and for furthering Informatica’s use of cloud, big data and other technologies to create competitive advantage and aid in driving customer success.
 
“Data is at the centre of everything we do at Informatica. We are also focused on empowering our customers to put data at the centre of everything they do,” said Doug Barnett, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Informatica. “Graeme has a strong record of IT innovation and of making IT a strategic partner of the business. As he takes the reins of our award-winning global IT organisation, he will be focused on harnessing data to drive new internal efficiencies and continued business growth, but also creating new ways for customers to engage with Informatica to use their data to power their own businesses.”

While at Oracle, Thompson led a global team with end-to-end responsibility for all end-user facing enterprise IT services that were utilised internally at Oracle. Prior to Oracle, Thompson was vice president and chief information officer at BEA Systems. Before that, he was vice president, supply chain at Riverstone Networks.
