Volta Data Centres, central London’s newest carrier-neutral data centre, has been awarded DCS ‘DC Innovation of the Year’ at the 2016 DCS Awards.  Despite being amongst stiff competition, such as runner up Siemens, Schneider and Emerson, the Clerkenwell based data centre came out on top, with its ground-breaking and forward-thinking Platinum Power SLA.

The category was one of the newest for the awards, and “DC Innovation of the Year”, looked to highlight and commend key data centres that have introduced unique innovative services, solutions or products that would aid the industry in addressing current or future customer needs.

Winning the award is testament to Volta’s continued development to provide customers with the best and most state of the art solutions. Since its opening in 2013, Volta has been able to provide its customers within a range of industries, such as cloud, managed services and the financial services, with a highly secure, flexible and scalable IT and hosting environment, as well as being enviably situated with close proximity to the City of London.

Jonathan Arnold, Managing Director of Volta Data Centres says “Winning this award not only validates the work that has gone into designing the best possible solutions and facilities, but also affirms the service that we offer our clients. Being awarded DC Innovation of the Year’ provides us with an industry seal of approval and also places us in an exceptional position to forecast an even brighter future in innovation for our data centre. Volta would like to thank all those who supported our nomination and we are looking forward to what forthcoming opportunities and developments are in store for us.”

Volta was also runner-up in the “Colocation provider of the year” category. Other finalists included Interxion, Infinity SDC and CenturyLink. This strengthens Volta’s powerful position in the data centre market.
