Reporting to Carl Eschenbach, president and chief operations officer, Brulard will drive strategy alignment and long-term planning, while continuing to drive growth and profitability across VMware’s businesses including Software-Defined Data Center, Business Mobility and Cloud Services. Brulard replaces Maurizio Carli, who is now General Manager of VMware’s Americas region.
“With a wealth of management and software industry experience, coupled with his successful time leading the Southern Region for VMware EMEA, Jean-Pierre will be instrumental to VMware’s business growth in EMEA,” said Carl Eschenbach, president and chief operations officer, VMware. “As we continue to build our technological offering focused on helping our customers transform to the mobile cloud era, Jean-Pierre’s business acumen and proven track record in customer delivery are vital for VMware’s further growth in the region.”
Jean-Pierre is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience working with some of the largest technology companies in the world, including Business Objects/SAP, IBM, Sun Microsystems and Unisys. He joined VMware in 2009 and for the last six years led Southern EMEA, substantially building the business in the region.
