The three year contract will see Phoenix provide a new Wide Area Network (WAN) based on an MPLS solution that will cover Redmayne-Bentley’s 38 branch offices from Inverness to Exeter including its administrative and settlement operations and all its investment management and execution-only stockbroking services plus the Phoenix Disaster Recovery (DR) and Datacentre sites.

The contract will deliver Redmayne-Bentley a fully managed solution including the management of the circuits and router hardware (on-site), active and hardware monitoring along with network support (on-site) and break-fix of all router hardware.

The new contract win complements Phoenix’s existing hosting contract which already delivers a Private Cloud service, providing secure hosting and supporting a suite of IT services. These include an ‘anywhere, anytime’ desktop with managed applications, email and Active Directory services.

Steve Vaughan, Phoenix chief executive, said: “We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Redmayne-Bentley to provide a new fully managed, WAN based solution. The solution will include resilient internet options and take advantage of the new technologies and network services to allow greater bandwidths to be available at less cost improving upload and download speeds.

“As a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulated firm, having a secure IT network that complies with regulatory requirements is critical to Redmayne-Bentley. In addition the company wanted to secure significant savings and generate real efficiency improvements to support the growth of its services to clients. Phoenix is a firm believer in providing scalable resilient and forward looking IT services. This additional contract demonstrates Phoenix expertise as one of the leading providers of Cloud services, delivering a high quality service, cost effectiveness, trustworthiness and commitment to the business.”

Phoenix has offices across Britain, including Birstall and Wakefield – near Redmayne-Bentley’s head office in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Keith Loudon, Senior Partner at Redmayne-Bentley, said: “We are getting a first class, secure service from them, which in this day and age is vital. We congratulate Phoenix on their success and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them and wish them well.”

Phoenix has worked with Redmayne-Bentley since 2009 delivering private Cloud hosting services to increase infrastructure resilience and IT security across the business.
