Mitel launches cloud-based Unified communications in the UK

MiCloud Enterprise Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) enables Mitel partners to offer comprehensive cloud-based business communications solutions as a service.

Mitel® has announced the availability of MiCloud Enterprise UCaaS for the UK market. Channel partners can now offer organisations a fully-featured solution via the cloud, enabling their customers to improve communication and reduce capital expenditures.

MiCloud Enterprise UCaaS will allow channel partners to tap into the rapid growth of the Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) market. A recent MarketsandMarket report indicates that 2014 marks the start of the technology's widespread adoption and, by 2018, revenue is expected to more than double to $7.62 billion.

The white label Mitel solution allows channel partners to add value to their offering by integrating MiCloud Enterprise UCaaS into their own customer solution, under their own brand, while Mitel manages the data centre. MiCloud UCaaS also accommodates channel partners who want to bring their own connectivity to their offering without relying on other cloud providers.

The solution enables Mitel partners to offer their customers a flexible and cost-effective way to connect employees, partners and customers, with a full business communications suite including corporate directory, presence, chat, audio, video and web collaboration in a subscription-based model.

A number of Mitel partners have already signed up to offer MiCloud Enterprise UCaaS, including BDR Voice & Data Solutions Ltd, Olive Communications, UniComm Ltd, 4Sight Communications Ltd, Denwa Communications, Arden Telecom, Maximum Maintenance Ltd, Ampito Group, Midland Communications Company Ltd, Arrow Business Communications, Pinacl Solutions UK Ltd, Opus Business Systems and Ethos Group.

"The Mitel Cloud solution gives us confidence," said Spencer Bradshaw, Head of Technology & Workplace Transformation, Converged Solutions at Olive Communications. "In a world where technology can constantly catch you out due to the continual pace of change, Mitel makes the tough decisions on our behalf by building and investing in a highly resilient, totally flexible communications solution in the cloud. No more cupboards full of disused phones, no more unused licences, no more redundant hardware, no more expensive upgrade fees."

Graham Bevington, Executive VP, International Markets, Mitel, said: "Being able to offer the best cloud communications solutions is becoming a critical differentiator for IT providers in the UK market. Mitel Enterprise UCaaS enables channel partners to adopt a proven cloud-based solution while mitigating the risks of upfront investment. This enables them to focus on value-added services such as understanding the customer requirements, configuring the service and managing the ongoing relationship."
