Volta Data Centres announces team expansion

Volta, developer and operator of central London’s newest purpose-designed, carrier-neutral data centre, has announced the expansion of its team to further strengthen its commitment to providing tailored services for businesses requiring colocation in the heart of London.

Jonathan Arnold has been appointed Managing Director of Volta Data Centres and will join the team on 2 June 2014, reporting to Matthew Dent, CEO of Volta. Ashraff Khan, who previously held this position, moves into the role of Chief Operating Officer, responsible for operations and facilities management.

Mr Arnold’s career in IT and business communications solutions spans over 18 years of experience gained at Siemens, WorldCom, Sirocom, Azzurri Communications and Daisy Group. He will be joining Volta from Daisy Group plc, where he has held the position of Enterprise Sales Director, responsible for the multi-million business turnover. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of ServAssure, part of Daisy Group, heading a team of over 30 people including sales, service desk, projects and warehouse.

Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Arnold says: ”Over the years, I have managed teams of various sizes in both big and small companies, and Volta is an amazing opportunity in the heart of London with a dynamic and talented team. I am thrilled to be part of it, and am looking forward to strengthening Volta’s position in the data centre sector by further enhancing the services throughout the sales and operating cycles.”

Also joining Volta's sales and marketing team are Yidan Wang Marketing Manager, and Christopher Burroughs as Sales Executive.

Ms Wang brings with her a wealth of experience on both client and agency side, from the data centre sector as well as the architecture and design industries, and is now responsible for all of Volta’s marketing related activities. Prior to joining Volta, Ms Wang worked at International Data Centre Group and IXcellerate Datacentre as Marketing Manager. In addition, she has extensive international experience across Europe, North America and Asia.

Mr Burroughs joins Volta from Belcom247, contributing to Volta his enthusiasm and commitment to existing and future customers.

“With Yidan and Christopher joining our marketing and sales team we are now in an even better position to accommodate the needs of our customers. Our aim is to deliver 100% satisfaction to each requirement throughout the sales and customer relationship lifecycle. Customer Service and attention to detail are critical so I am absolutely delighted to welcome them to the Volta team,” says Colin Woods, Sales Manager of Volta.

Matthew Dent, CEO of Volta, also says: “We have built Central London’s newest data centre facility in Great Sutton Street to the highest standards, and the appointments reflect the growing needs of Volta’s customer base. Customer satisfaction is always our biggest measurement, and our commitment to providing tailored solutions will be augmented with the expansion of the team. I’m delighted to have Yidan and Christopher on board, and I’m looking forward to Jonathan joining.”
